User Account Deletion Policy

At Purna Water, we respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This User Account Deletion Policy explains how you can request the deletion of your account and the associated data we collect when you use our services, including login via Facebook or other social platforms.

1. Your Right to Delete Data

Under applicable data protection laws and Facebook's Platform Terms, you have the right to request the deletion of your user account and any personal data we hold about you. We provide a simple and transparent mechanism for you to exercise this right.

2. How to Request Account Deletion

You can request the deletion of your Purna Water account and associated data through the following methods:

Method A: In-App Deletion (If Applicable)

  1. Log in to your account on the Purna Water website or app.
  2. Navigate to Settings or Profile.
  3. Locate the "Delete Account" or "Close Account" option.
  4. Follow the on-screen prompts to confirm your request.

Method B: Email Request

Send an email to our support team with the subject line "Data Deletion Request".

  • Email: support@smarten.com.np (or your specific support email)
  • Required Information: Please include your full name and the email address or phone number associated with your account.

Method C: Facebook Settings (Data Deletion Callback)

If you logged in using Facebook, you can remove our app and request data deletion directly through your Facebook settings:

  1. Go to your Facebook Account Settings & Privacy > Settings.
  2. Scroll down to Apps and Websites.
  3. Find and select Purna Water.
  4. Click Remove.
  5. After removing the app, you will see an option to "View Removed Apps and Websites". Click on Purna Water and select "Send Request" to trigger a data deletion request to us.

3. Data Deletion Process

Once we receive your validated request:

  1. Verification: We may ask for proof of identity to ensure the request is legitimate.
  2. Deletion: We will permanently delete your account and personal identification information (PII) such as your name, email address, phone number, and social media profile data from our active databases.
  3. Timeline: This process is typically completed within 30 days of receiving your request.
  4. Confirmation: We will send you a confirmation email (if an email address is on file) once the deletion is complete. If the request came via the Facebook Data Deletion Callback, you can check the status of your request in your Facebook settings.

4. Data Retention

We may retain certain data if required by law or for legitimate business purposes, such as:

  • Transaction Records: Financial records of purchases (e.g., water orders) may be kept for tax and accounting purposes for a period required by local law (e.g., 5-7 years).
  • Security & Fraud Prevention: Logs or data necessary to prevent fraud or abuse.

These retained records will be anonymized where possible and securely stored.
